Arrive Calicut and transfer to Wayanad. Afternoon leave for Pookot lake. Set in a beautiful valley and surrounded by evergreen forests and wooded hills, Pookot is one of Wayanad’s top visitor draws. This natural lake near Lakkidi is just a short distance off the National Highway 212.It has been developed as a recreational centre having boating facilities, children’s park, shop for souvenirs and spices, and a fresh water aquarium. Return back and over night at Hotel.
Today Morning after breakfast departs to Edakal Caves. Located at a height of 1000m on Ambukuthi mala near Ambalavayal are the Edakal Caves. Etchings found on the walls of these caves have drawn the serious attention of archaeologists and historians worldwide. With at least three distinct sets of petroglyphs, the earliest thought to date back over 5000 years, it is assumed that the Edakkal caves had been inhabited at various stages in history. Accessible only by a kilometer trek from Edakal, you will also across only cave restaurant here. After noon by 03.00 pm reach Muthanga wild life sanctuary for wild life safari. Spread over avast area Muthanga is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Region, Located 18kms east of Sultan Bathery. Enjoy a 02 hrs wild life jeep safari from 03.00 pm to 05.00 pm (On direct payment basis). Return to hotel and over night. Overnight at the hotel
Today morning after breakfast proceeds to Calicut by road. Rest of the day is at leisure or for relaxing. Later in the afternoon, visit Kappad beach and Baypore boat building yard. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Today morning leave for Guruvayoor by road. Arrive Guruvayoor and check into your hotel. Later visit the elephant camp to watch the elephants. Evening visit the famous Guruvayoor Sree Krishna temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Munnar, arrive by the afternoon. Munnar is a picturesque hill station situated in the eastern part of Kerala; lush green-carpeted tea and coffee plantations surround it. The beautiful landscapes, cozy weather, and the smell of tealeaves make Munnar one of the most sought-after destinations in South India. Munnar is situated near the Anaimudi Peak, the highest peak in the Western Ghats. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Today morning after breakfast visit Mattupetty dam which has an artificial lake built by a small hydroelectric project. Echo Point is known for the natural echo affect it produces. Tea Museum (Closed on Mondays) explains about the processing of tea and history of Munnar and Eravikulam National Park is known as the natural habitat of endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Stay overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. Drive to Cochin and transfer to airport/railway station for your onward journey.
